Its hit the net with the force of an American b52 everybody it seems wants a piece of the action,
Blogging's been around for a bit longer than Pixel Advertising, but they are both are on everybody's wishlist .
Combine the two and according to the internet guru's you have got a  powerful seo tool.But as I'm just an inexperienced Webmaster come Blogger lets see how it goes.

I always thought that blogs were mainly for people's thoughts put down on paper for others to see so what I am going to try to do is combine likes and dislikes from home and business. so I apologize  in advance if I tend to drift from one subject to another.

First a bit about me, I live in the UK, I'm sixty one, I have had no particular web building training, in fact I never even thought of having my own website untill the latter part of last year.I don't work as I have been retired. So how did someone with no experience get a website up and running. I was already using Mozilla Firefox as my browser and by looking on their site http://www.mozilla.org/
I read about their internet suite , so I wanted to know more about it what it could do, was it easy to use for a novice etc, I downloaded it at http://www.mozilla.org/products/mozilla1.x/.
Next I needed  things such as how and what to do now I had it on my pc, by searching I found a good tutor for using it at

I practised doing the basic things that the tutor mentioned, It was slow going so I thought look at other sites on the net to get an idea of what they look like, And to decide what sort of website I wanted, After hours and hours of searching I finally made my mind up that I wanted a classified ads type of website,as I've always liked going round boot sales and selling on fleamarkets.

Tips and Cheats (TIPS)

First your homepage (The page you see when you go to a website on the net) must begin with a lower case letter normally index.
Now your homepage is what everybody sees when they arrive at your new site, and like when your're watching tv with the remote control in your hand, if there's nothing you like on one channel you turn over to the next and so on. So your homepage must contain enough information as possible about what your site is about ,so that your visitors will stay and take a look instead of just moving to the next site, also you need to put put links to other pages in your site, so that visiters can travel around your site with ease,(look at other websites and see how they use their links and to what pages, also remembering to link back to your home page from these extra pages).Read the mozilla tutorial mentioned above as how to add links. (Also read the cheats in the next paragraph )

Cheats

I have found that the easiest way to get a homepage idea for your site is to look arund the web untill you find a site in the same sort of business that you intend to have on your site, In your browser click your mouse on the edit button at the top in the drop down meny click on select all and this will highlight everything on the website your on, now click on the right button on your mouse and select copy(copy and paste), now open up mozilla composer page and right click on your mouse again and select paste. Now you will have an exact replica of the site you have just visited,
Imortant..first right click on your mouse and select  remove links and do the same to remove named anchors, Now work from the top of the page starting with the banner or site logo delete them and replace them with your own logo or banner, next rmove all images replacing them with your own.then do the same for any text replace it with your own text(also you will have links to other pages and probably to other sites as well, you can if you want to keep the links to other pages on the site making sure you change the name and add the link to a page on your own site.delete all links to other sites and also any copywrite text etc and add your own.
Now you should have a reasonable looking web page as your home page,If it doesn't look right to you or youre not happy experiment with it change things around untill you're happy .
